Rachel graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006. After qualifying Rachel spent 3 years working for the RSPCA, where she gained a large amount of clinical and surgical experience. Rachel joined Paws in 2013 and has a keen interest in internal medicine. She completed her certificate in small animal medicine in 2016 and works hard to ensure all her patients get the best standard of care. Outside of work Rachel can frequently be found in the gym, if not then she is racing her vintage car around the countryside.
Jess started her nursing career in August 1999 at Battersea dogs and cats home, where she work as a qualified nurse for 12 years. She went on to complete her nurse training qualification in 2003 which enables her to train student veterinary nurses. Jess started working at Paws in 2011 and was promoted to head nurse in 2015. Jess has a special interest in medical nursing and oncology. The love of Jess’s life is Jasper, her gorgeous cocker spaniel. Jasper and Jess keep fit together on runs round the park.
Mena obtained her Veterinary Nursing qualification in Cork, Ireland in 2010. She has been at Paws In Dawes since April 2012 when she moved to London. She is currently studying for a certificate in feline nursing. Mena has a handsome ginger cat called Rua who was a rescue cat abandoned at the clinic.
This is Dylan, our Student Veterinary Nurse who’s been with us since July 2015. He is enrolled at the College of Animal Welfare where he is working hard to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Dylan began his career in the veterinary industry at 18 as a veterinary care assistant in various small animal practices before joining us here at Paws. When Dylan isn’t working/studying, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and his handsome Staffie called Kalo.
Roger Fargher, our Practice Manager, originally hails from the Isle of Man (where the cats have no tails!) and has worked in many overseas locations, including the Middle East, Greece and South Africa. He has a wealth of experience within the business sector and latterly within the Veterinary sector, joining us after 3 successful years with the RSPCA.Rogers “down time” is looking after his cat Channing Tatum and watching a variety of sports live and on TV, which Mrs F. can get a little weary of!
Chantal joined Paws in Dawes in 2005. Originally, from South Africa, Chantal worked for National Vet in Cape Town. She completed a Master’s in Business Administration in 2013 from the University of Wales. She has a special interest in customer care, animal welfare and behaviour. In 2015 she obtained a diploma in Animal Psychology.
Amy has been at the practice for over a year. She is gaining nursing experience at Paws as she wishes to pursue her Veterinary Nursing Diploma. She has a Golden Retriever called Bella who is 3 years old. Amy is a keen gymnast and teaches gymnastics on the weekend.
