Vaccination

We recommend vaccinating cats, dogs, and rabbits for common diseases that they are susceptible to. Vaccines need to be administered annually for your pet to be continuously protected. Every vaccine is administered after a full general health check.  We will taylor each vaccination package to your pets needs and lifestlye.  Once you and your animals full details are registered with us, we send you out a reminder in the post before they are due – you only need to ring and book an appointment time.

Specific medical conditions

Our nurses are highly trained and very knowledgeable in all aspects of managing a sick pet.  Animals that have a medical condition, such as Diabetes, Kidney or Liver disease, arthritis or weight related health problems need regular monitoring to keep their disease under control.      The nurses can provide support to you as the per owner.  Many of the nurses have cared for their own pets with medical problems, and can understand the difficulties sometimes encountered.  They are able to give advice on medicating difficult pets, and monitoring clinical symptoms at home, helping you to deal with your pets illness in the best and least stressful way possible.

To get a pet passport your pet will need to be micro-chipped, get vaccinations for Rabies, have a blood test to confirm adequate blood levels of Rabies antibodies, and get certification from one of our qualified veterinarians. The process can take up to 7 months from start to finish. For more information please contact the surgery, or visit the DEFRA web-site listed on our links page.
